Sir Squeeks a lot is dying... he's been dying for a while but I think that given his current state he'll be dead before I go to New York to perform... meh... my little guy has been with me for so long... when I got him, fifteen years ago, I made a promise to him that I would never leave him and I'd give him the best life I could possibly give...

He can't talk but I feel like (I hope that) I've given him a life worth living...

So far he's been nothing but full of love... He's a very sensitive little guy... I love him so muches!

He's breaking my heart...

He's the best, most sweetest, gentlest, adorable creature... and he's very kind...

I love him...

I've had many cats... Sometimes I feel like Catherine Deneuve in the Hunger... All my loves all my loves... I don't mean to make light of it at all.. But to live with someone who has such a capacity for love, knowing that they won't live as long as me, feels tragic...

After Sir Squeek dies I'll wait for the next little friend to come into my life... I usually dream about them before I meet them... And then I know I'm the one to protect them and love them...

There's also a link to more photos. The ones of just me were banned from myspace. Who knew a little pancake batter could be so offensive? ;)

Huzzah! The Thillpedders are going to New York in September to be featured in the Howl Festival. When I get my ticket I'll start panicking! Ha!

Does anyone know of any cool galleries who would be interested in my hats in New York?

Until then we're doing "Theodora" and "Jack and the Beanstalk" at the Hypnodrome.

San Francisco Gay Pride!

This weekend is an explosion of Gay Pride. On Friday I'm performing with Drag King Fudgie Frottage aka Lu Read after the Trans March in Dolores Park at 5:15.

Then I'm skippin' on over to the Hypnodrome for "Theadora She-Bitch of Byzantium" at 8pm and the "Blue Hour" at 9:30pm. I feel like singing some classy French songs this weekend after looking at the critics trying to understand my performance art last weekend with ghastly expressions. Sometimes my "art" is an acquired taste?

On Saturday I'm at the Hypnodrome again for the 8pm and 9:30 shows. After that I'm headed to the DNA Lounge for Bootie! I'm in Steven Satyricon's Mashup performance, Britney vs. Kelly aka "Gimme More verses Shoes"... I'm playing Britney and Steven is a totally crazy convincing Kelly. Ya-Ya was doing it but isn't in SF for some reason and she is the cutest and most convincing Britney ever. I just put on my costume and checked it out.. I think my best bet, or angle, will be faux queen Britney. A man impersonating Britney who happens to be a woman - the man that is.....

I just finished blinging out my black satin bra top thing. Ghah. I don't know if I feel comfortable wearing such a tiny costume. I can't believe people said Britney was fat at the VMA awards. That was cruel and ridiculous. I keep watching her video and she looks great. meh. Maybe some sit ups before Saturday... and a spray tan to make me look all LA. I'm sooooooo white... OH I'll use my Krylon Bronzer... Whee! Faux Queen Faux Tan!

I'm at the Hypnodrome until 5/31/08. And now for something really special. "Muni Fun" followed by "Save your Roadkill":

Muni Fun:

So I was on Muni today and the ticket checkers came through... I usually whip out my ticket and show it to them by holding it up with my middle finger... Today I tried a different approach...

I pretended not to notice the guy in the uniform checking tickets until he got to me. And then I looked up quizzically as he said quickly, "Proof of Payment Please"... I then proceeded to slowly, slowly unsnap each buckle of my bag... then look in the first pocket, then the next, and the next... all at a sloths pace... I finally "found" it (I keep my ticket in the same place all the time) opened it up, looked at it myself for a second, and ever so slowly turned it to the ticket checker... It was sooooooooo fun... I think he caught on because he was kind of laughing...

The only way it could be more fun is if I was with a friend, like say Audra, and she slowly produced her ticket and after she showed hers I then began the slow process of finding mine...

Save Your Roadkill:

So I was walking through a park today and I saw one of those little black birds with the yellow eyes. You know, the ones that attack you by pecking your head if you happen to be walking by their nest. I've heard that it can be very shocking and painful. Especially if they rip out a bit of your blond hair in the process. Well this one was pretty calm and I was caught up by how lovely it's feathers are and how they're blackish blue...It was so close I could almost dive on it and catch it! (Especially if it wasn't a public place with business people around). I was overcome with the need to have the bird taxidermied so I could put it in a hat... Maybe not the ENTIRE bird but I'd really really love to have it's wings.. And then I was overcome by guilt because of the cruelty factor and the whole animal as fashion thing and how PETA would rip out my liver and take a piss on it if I started trapping birds to put in hats... Yeah I'm complex like that..

Which makes me come to this. Don't waste your roadkill. If you happen to run over a cute or beautiful animal please call me. If I'm not able to pick it up immediately feel free to field dress the carcass. If you happen to run over animals a lot I'll provide you with a tarp, gloves and a filet knife... Make sure the animal is dead prior to field dressing it..

If you run over an animal and it seems that it may survive please use your common sense. Animal control will probably just euthanize your hapless victim and cremate its remains. (No art! BOO!!!) Whereas you could bludgeon the adorable creature with a tire iron, being careful not to damage it's fur, thusly wresting it from this mortal coil, so it's remains can become my ARTE. (YAY!) Seriously is a three legged wild coyote going to:

A. Be a great pet for you and the kids.

B. Be able to survive in the wild.

or

C. Make a fantastic hat. (please preserve the head and tail.)

And finally, Pigeons and rodents are not cute or fashionable. Likewise people don't think housepets make good fashion unless it comes from China and is mislabeled. If you have any experience skinning animals or in taxidermy please feel free to advise me... Don't let your unfortunate mistakes on the road go to waste...

The Thrillpeddler's show "Flaming Sin, the London Grand Guignol" has been extended to 5/31/08!

After May there will be a run of "Theadora She-Bitch of Byzantium" a Charles Busch vehicle. I will be doing a sword dance in that show. It will be hot and absurd.
